Springfield Precise Temp remote thermometer

For a few experiments I needed a remote temperature sensor or remote thermometer. At Home Depot I found the Springfield Precise Temp Indoor/Outdoor Digital Thermometer. It came in two parts: a control unit with the temperature displayed on an LCD screen and a small temperature sensor on the end of a 10 foot wire. It's capable of displaying both celsuis and fahrenheit scales. The price was around $13.00.

I used three of these to do measurements for a window solar air heater that I made. Here are some photos of them in use.

I also used them for tracking the temperatures in my worm composting bin.
